Star Wars Battlefront 2 Multiplayer Its Finally Back

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Multiplayer Its Back

You may think the title of today’s blog is kind of weird as Battlefront II is not actually here yet, but we are not talking about Star Wars Battlefront II that is coming out in November and getting its beta later this week. But the original Star Wars Battlefront II from 2005!

How crazy is this? It has been announced that GOG and Steam are doing some kind of team up and players who have the game on Steam can play against those who purchased it on GOG. It has been a very long time since the Battlefront II servers were shut down, but we are sure people will be very excited about this as Battlefront II had a ton of content.

Now the bad news is that this is for PC players only. So those of us who have the game on Xbox or PlayStation 2 are out of luck. To be fair it would be near impossible for the old consoles to get back online. But it is still really awesome how Disney has brought this back for PC players.

We have even heard some people say that this is a very good thing. Not just because Star Wars Battlefront II is awesome. But because if successful, it could mean that they might consider bringing back some of the other older Star Wars games and bringing them online as well.

As you can tell, here at Mods “R” Us, we could not be any more excited for Star Wars Battlefront II (we mean the new one!) and getting the beta this week, plus the chance to play the original Battlefront II just adds to that excitement.

Next For Call Of Duty After World War 2

What Next For Call Of Duty After World War 2?

While we have spent a lot of time playing the beta of Star Wars Battlefront 2. One of the main things that our modded PS4, Xbox One, and PC controllers are designed in mind with is, of course, Call Of Duty.

As we all know, Call Of Duty is at this point, weeks away and we are very excited for it. Many fans of the series were super stoked when Activision announced that they were going back to the series roots by setting the game during World War 2. Call Of Duty World War II is one of the most anticipated games in the series history, but where does Activision go from here?

The next Call Of Duty game for 2018 at this point will have been in the oven for at least a year, ready for the inevitable October/November release. But what could it be? Here at Mods “R” Us, we have asked around the office and one thing that is continuously brought up is the Vietnam War.

Some games have used the Vietnam War as their backdrop before, but we think a modern Call Of Duty set during this time period has the potential to be truly epic. We are not even talking about the multiplayer here! The storytelling in the Call Of Duty games the last decade has been incredible and setting a COD game during this time period could give it a Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Apocalypse Now kind of vibe.

We have a comments section down below and we would love to hear what kind of setting you would like to see in the next Call Of Duty game.

Battlefield 1 Turning Tides New Dlc Is On it's Way

Battlefield 1 Turning Tides New Dlc

To say Battlefield 1 was a huge success is a major understatement. Most of us had a blast with the first two expansions, but now more details have come forward about the Battlefield 1 Turning Tides expansion that is starting December 2017.

Notice we said starting, that is because this expansion is not all coming at once. Instead, it is coming in waves and it will be released gradually over the course of a few weeks.

The first part of the Battlefield 1 Turning Tides expansion is super jacked! To start with it has two new maps in Achi Baba and Cape Helles. Also, the Gallipoli Operation that is also part of this expansion will make use of these new maps. A load of new weapons including both guns and melee weapons along with an Infiltrator Elite Class that we can have fun with. One other thing we have to mention that is coming is the awesome, Conquest Assault Mode that was a huge hit in past Battlefield games is coming back.

Shortly after this in January the next part of the Battlefield 1 Turning Tides expansion will be released. Once again you will have two new maps to have fun with these are Heligoland Bight and Zeebrugge. As well as these new maps there is also a brand new faction, the British Empire’s Royal Marines.

We think that these new maps, modes, and other goodies are sure to breathe a lot more life into Battlefield 1 and our modded controllers can make sure you rule these new maps with an iron fist. If you are lucky enough to have the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass then you will be able to enjoy the Turning Tides expansion a couple of weeks early!

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta Starts Soon

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta Starts Soon

We are very excited for Star Wars Battlefront 2 and this week, Wednesday if you pre ordered and Friday for everyone else. You can take part in the Battlefront 2 beta. There are four game modes available and that is what we are looking at today.

Galactic Assault: In this mode, you take part in large 20 vs 20 battles that are taking place on Theed, which is the capital city of Naboo. This is going to be centered around the prequel movies and looks like it is going to be a lot of fun.

Starfighter Assault: This is the space battle mode and it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. It is also a chance to get to check out the tighter controls of the space combat as it was a little erratic in the last Battlefront game.

Strike: This is another battle, team vs team kind of mode, but the battles are much smaller than in Galactic Assault. Here it is 8 vs 8 battles and in the beta, you will be fighting around Takodana, which is from The Force Awakens.

Arcade: Arcade mode sounds very interesting as this is what is going to let you set up your own customizable battles. But in the beta, you do get a small taste as you can play in two of the arcade missions. These missions will see you taking on the AI with or without another player.

For a beta, this is a very good selection of game modes that are sure to make us even more excited for the game!
